I am directed by Secretary Sir

Philip Cunliffe-Lister to acknowledge the

receipt of your letter No.S.31183/S.6. of

the 21st July regarding the establishment

of a Flying Training School at Hong Kong

and to request you to inform the Air Council

that he has noted with satisfaction their

acceptance of the suggestion that the

har

Hong Kong Government should be given dis-

cretion to select the company to which the

Flying School concession is to be granted,

provided that not more than one such

school shall be in existence at any time.

The Secretary of State is also glad to note

that the Air Council have withdrawn their

proposal to reserve the right to require

cancellation
